YouTube is a great resource for learning Thai and I’ve rounded up a bunch of videos that features the Thai alphabet – taught by teachers, kids, anyone. One thing worth noting is that Thai’s learn their letters with a word that has the letter or sound in it. So the first letter in the Thai alphabet is a letter in the word for Chicken and the second is in Egg (and so finally answers that age-old question). The videos I found of kids saying the alphabet are the best – and the worst – since I’m still struggling to learn the alphabet and watching the kids reminds me that in Thailand I am still an infant.
