Blyth Leaf Monkeys of Loei – extended cut video

Blyth Leaf Monkeys of Thailand from James Quilty on Vimeo.

Presbytis phayrei blyth – a threatened species of leaf monkey that Yui and I saw at a wat in Loei, north central Thailand. The Blyth were originally found in many areas of South-east Asia but have been hunted for food and medicine. I wanted to show more of these monkeys because they remind me of the Mogway in the Gremlins movies.
Most of what I’ve read about them come from a book “Endangered Animals of Thailand” by Stephen R. Humphrey and James R. Bain
