In 2550, dogs are the sacred cows of the land. The Buddhist believe in reincarnation and so some dogs were once people and people will someday perhaps be dogs. The King wrote a book about his beloved dog and a previous King had a monument built for his favorite dog. When visiting a Monestary in 2550 you are often surrounded by a pack of stray dogs – “tamboon” is the offering of food or gifts one gives to the monks to better one’s karma and the Monks at the monestary in turn feed the dogs to receive their good karma.
